Flash headers and graphics were in vogue for a while, but generally they take time to load onto your computer, time which your visitors won't want to spend watching an egg-timer. They will click on the 'back' button and visit your competitor's site. Imagine that the home page of your web site is the front door to your shop. A Flash introduction is a door that's stuck, and needs a good push to open it.

When we meet for the website design consultation and you mention Flash, we will ensure that if you are going to use flash introductions or headers, that it's necessary, and we will then strive to make it quick-loading.

All our graphics are optimised for fast-loading so that your visitors do not have to wait for complex or 'heavy' graphics to load. This is one of the considerations we have, when we start the website design process. Not all people have broadband. So we have to design websites for optimal loading.

We will ensure that the text that is to be used on your website design is easy to read, is relevant and most importantly makes sense. We will also try to optimise the text to allow your website to achieve a high rating with the search engines. This is something that not all website designers consider.
